Nike SB’s collaboration with Jordan contributes to creating the ultimate sneaker for the skate park and basketball court with the release of the Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green.
The Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green features a white leather upper with a neutral gray suede mudguard. The limited-edition sneakers sit atop a white and pine green midsole, highlighted by a red Air unit. Nike used a rubber outsole to improve grip while skateboarding.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro SB Pine Green reps was released on March 20, 2023.
The rumor mill churned throughout 2022, raising hopes for releases that never would and likely never will. However, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 claim proved to be true, as earlier this year, images of an early pair were seen on the feet of longtime SB rider Eric Koston. And now, at the very beginning of the next one, reports from reputable sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz confirm that a release of this collaboration is coming this spring.
This wouldn’t be the first time Nike SB and Jordan Brand have teamed up, as they previously collaborated on several Air Jordan 1s in 2019, two of which featured wearable uppers, similar to the “Lance Mountain” collaboration released five years earlier. For the Air Jordan 4, the cross-brand pairing opts for a much simpler, more streamlined colorway consisting of “Sail/Pine Green/Neutral Grey/White.” Additionally, the model’s construction will include several changes that make it more suitable for skateboarding.
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green” is currently expected to release on March 20th at a retail price of $225. Two colorways are reportedly on the way, with more details to be announced in the coming months. Enjoy a look at an early model here while we wait for official images.
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green,” undoubtedly one of the most anticipated sneakers of 2023, made its debut late last week, distributing 100% to skate shops across the country. And if you were one of the many who missed it, there’s even more disappointment in store, as the collaboration will release again tomorrow via Nike SNKRS and global retailers.
Nike SB and Jordan Brand are certainly no strangers, having reinterpreted the Air Jordan 1 on numerous occasions. However, their Air Jordan 4, rumored to have been in the works since 2020, is possibly their most exciting project yet, generating quite a stir not only in the skateboarding community but throughout sneaker culture as a whole. And while it looks like your average Air Jordan at first glance, the model features several upgrades that make it more suited to the sport: a thinner, more responsive sole; a more padded tongue; a grippier outsole; and and much more.
