Following the release of the Nike Dunk, Air Max 90, and Air Force One models, Jordan Brand is getting the photon treatment with the release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro SE Craft Photon Dust.
The Air Jordan 4 SE Photon Dust features a leather and suede upper in various shades of gray. Jordan Brand is changing direction with the mesh cage of the Air Jordan 4s, replacing it with soft suede and a cracked leather cage wing.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro SE Craft Photon Dust reps was released on February 11, 2023.
Last year, the Air Jordan 4 enjoyed a large fan base thanks to high-profile co-signs, rumored Nike SB releases, and new retros.
Ahead of 2023, Tinker Hatfield’s second design for Michael Jordan has been released in a Craft edition via official images. The upcoming retro revels in an array of muted tones, with “Photon Dust” playing the titular role on the leather and suede upper. Gray and cream accents enter the mix in supporting roles, with the former color covering the Jumpman logo component on the back. The midsole cushioning favors a slightly “aged” aesthetic that nicely complements all the Jumpman logos throughout the Air Jordan sneaker, allowing gray to also play a role in the arrangement of the sole unit.
First teased in mid-November 2022, the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Photon Dust” finally releases in full family sizes tomorrow, February 11.
The sneaker is an elevated interpretation of Tinker Hatfield’s second design for the Air Jordan line. The entire upper is constructed from premium suede and features a smooth leather base layer. The standard breathable windows on the sides have been replaced with a textured component, giving the pair more fashion-friendliness. Nearby TPU eyelets lend a vintage aesthetic to the mix. Furthermore, the tongue and underside, with their hairy constructions, focus on comfort and luxury. Underfoot, the color story remains the same: the titular “Photon Dust” combines with “Sail” and “Grey Fog” to create a clean and versatile look.
