Jordan Brand pays homage to one of its earliest color themes with the Jordan 4 Retro Metallic Purple, now available on StockX. In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was the first in its line to receive the “metallic” treatment. Originally, four metallic colorways were released—including red, orange, purple, and green. This release is inspired by the color blocking of the Jordan 1 Metallic Purple.
This Jordan 4 features a white leather upper with white mesh underlays and metallic purple detailing on the upper eyelets. A metallic purple Jumpman logo on the heel, a white sole, and a metallic purple Air bubble complete the design. These sneakers were released in May 2020.
To conclude its Summer 2020 release calendar, Jordan Brand pays homage to the 1985 Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Pack” with the release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Metallic Purple.” True to the clean color-blocking of the 1985 pack, the tonal upper is covered in fresh white leather from toe to heel. Bright, contrasting metallic purple accents are then found on the eyelets and tongue lining, as well as on the tongue label and jeweled “Jumpman” logo on the heel. The silhouette is then rounded out by a white midsole that encloses a purple Air unit in the heel.
Perfect for spring, this Air Jordan 4 features a fresh white leather construction, while purple and silver accents on the eyelets and branding complete the theme. Additionally, the silhouette features the Jumpman logo on the heel tabs.
Releasing as part of a four-piece metallic pack, the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Purple Metallic” showcases a simple two-tone color scheme on the classic mid-top silhouette. Crafted from pristine white leather, the sneaker is accented with purple contrasting color pops on the molded eyelets, visible Air sole unit, and external branding hits, including the signature Jumpman logos on the woven tongue label and heel counter.
