Jordan Brand pays homage to one of its first color themes with the Jordan 4 Retro Metallic Green, now available on StockX. In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was the first in its line to receive the “Metallic” treatment. Initially, four metallic colorways were released—including red, orange, purple, and green. This release is inspired by the color-blocking of the Jordan 1 Metallic Green and the Jordan 4 Retro Classic Green.
This Jordan 4 features a white leather upper with white mesh underlays and metallic green details on the upper eyelets. A metallic green Jumpman logo on the heel, a white sole, and a metallic green Air bubble complete the design. These sneakers were released in May 2020.
Although the 30th anniversary banner was removed earlier this year, the Air Jordan 4 is still celebrating as if the spotlight were completely on its back. This May, a quarter of the metallic colorways, simply called the “Metallic Pack,” will release, featuring a clean, all-white leather upper contrasted with one of four colors: orange, red, purple, and green. What makes this pair stand out is its near-identical texture to the 2004 Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green,” with the only difference being the glossy finish on the wing eyelets. We expect this to be one of the most popular models in the Jordan 4 Metallic Pack due to its connection to the past, but you can’t really go wrong with any of the four. Check out the official images here and stay tuned for the release sometime in May.
This clean offering of the Air Jordan 4 is dominated by an all-white leather construction on the upper with tonal details on the leather wings, tongue, inner lining, heel, midsole, and rubber outsole. For contrast, we see Metallic Pine Green on the waffle eyelets, inner tongue, and Jumpman branding on the tongues and heels.
