The Air Jordan 4 Retro Royalty features a combination of metallic gold accents on a solid black suede upper.
The distinctive molded eyelets and a Jumpman logo on the synthetic leather heel counter reflect the light. The woven tongue label and rubber outsole, both featuring additional Jumpman branding and a classic herringbone traction pattern for support, are also covered in Jumpman insignia. Cushioning is provided by the polyurethane midsole with an AIR sole unit visible under the heel.
The Air Jordan 4 upgrades the iconic silhouette with premium materials and craftsmanship, reimagining a black nubuck upper highlighted by metallic gold eyelets for a luxurious finish. More gold accents appear on the back, including an enlarged Jumpman logo affixed to a leather heel tab for an added premium touch. Finally, the bold yet understated construction is complemented by a fresh white midsole and black outsole to complete the design.
Jordan Brand’s February 2017 release slate kicks off with the introduction of the Air Jordan 4 “Royalty,” a pair that nods to the lifestyle status of the classic “Flight” silhouette through the use of luxurious suede and metallic gold accents. The Air Jordan 4 Royalty will be available in a full family size starting February 4, 2017.
For those of you doubting whether you’ll be able to snag the more limited OVO x Air Jordan 12 later in February during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend festivities, the Royalty 4s should serve as the perfect backup plan for the metallic hits on the newly textured Jumpman branding on the heel, additional gold tones on the visible Air unit, and a clean black midsole to match the suede textile used throughout. Are you a fan of the first Air Jordan 4 release from 2017? There will be much more of this retro model in the future, but how do you think the “Royalty” colorway compares to “Motorsports,” “Pure Money,” and the upcoming “Black/Royal 4”?
