Air Jordan 1 Low SB UNC

Legendary skateboarder and sneakerhead Eric Koston brings UNC nostalgia with the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low SB UNC, available now. This shoe is inspired by a classic Air Jordan 1 High model that was originally released in 1985. The original design featured overlays in University Blue, a color made famous by Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. This historic colorway combined with the skateboarding community’s long history of love for the Jordan 1 made this collaboration a no-brainer. Like many basketball shoes that became SB, this AJ 1 features upgraded technology, including the Nike SB Heel Zoom sockliner for comfort while skating. This low-top has a white leather upper with dark blue overlays and Swoosh. A white midsole, a blue outsole and a Nike SB logo on the tongue and insoles complete the design. These sneakers were released in August 2019 and there is no one more deserving than Eric Koston to help bridge the gap between skateboarding and sneakerheadism. The man is a legend in both categories. So when he was tapped to helm the very first Air Jordan 1 Low SB, he made a connection to one of the more obscure Air Jordan 1s that the newer generation may not be familiar with – the Japan-exclusive “Midnight Navy” pair from 2001. For his next (or upcoming) pair, Koston has handpicked the original Air Jordan 1 Low SB UNC reps colorway of the Air Jordan 1, and today we’re blessed with a first look at the upcoming release – It’s hard to say if the miniature Jumpman logo will return at the toe, however.
