The Air Jordan 1 High Bordeaux will be released in November 2021.
The reddish burgundy colorway is a real eye-catcher this holiday season, as we’re treated to another Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in this seasonal hue. After showing you the official images of the Air Jordan 1 Maniere, here’s a detailed look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Bordeaux, which is set to release on November 20, 2021. It features tumbled burgundy leather on the overlay, a matching inner lining, a pair of sterling silver accents on the metallic Swoosh, and the jeweled Wings logo on the collar.
Given the popularity of the Midnight Navy and Metallic Silver colorways of this AJ1, originally available in Japan, there’s no question that this release will be one of the most coveted of the month of November. While it’s no secret that the Air Jordan 1 has become one of the most coveted sneakers on the market over the past two years, what might surprise the casual collector is the model’s recent penchant for unoriginal, non-story-driven colorways. Case in point: A “Bordeaux/White/Metallic Silver” option was first rumored in November 2020.
Like a handful of previous iterations of the sneaker, the upcoming retro boasts a “colorless” smooth leather upper that lets the hues adopted by the accompanying overlays take center stage. A wine-like hue covers the panels around the foot, along the tongue, and on the heel in a style reminiscent of many recently released Nike Dunks. However, the shimmering profile Swooshes establish a clear connection between this “Bordeaux” pair and the Jordan 1 co.jp “Midnight Navy,” which first released in 2001; “wings” insignia on the ankle follows suit. Laces and outsoles complete the retro look in the title color.
Yesterday, Jordan Brand unveiled its stellar Spring 2021 collections, a collection that featured several new colorways for the Air Jordan 1. And as newly released leaks attest, that’s not all for the 2021 calendar year, as the striking “Bordeaux” colorway is set to debut first next fall.
As the model speculates, the title color is incorporated into almost all overlays as well as the tongue tab. This bright red, almost purple hue alludes to luxury, as it is created alongside a hint of metallic silver. Elsewhere, the nylon tongue and leather underlayers are kept in a subtle white, rounding out a release that very loosely borrows from the OG blocking.
