Jordan Brand added a new colorway to its Jordan 1 catalog for Spring 2021 with the Air Jordan 1 Hyper Royal. The Hyper Royal utilizes material selection and color blocking to convey a vintage feel, similar to the 2019 Air Jordan 1 High Turbo Green.
The upper of the Air Jordan 1 Hyper Royal is constructed from white leather and worn Hyper Royal suede overlays, while the Swoosh and ankle panels are constructed from light smoke gray Durabuck. In keeping with Jordan 1s of the past, a classic white “Wings” logo appears on the lateral ankle. A blue woven Nike Air label on the tongue, a white midsole, and a light smoke gray outsole complete this retro design.
The Air Jordan 1 Hyper Royal was released in April 2021.
First teased in October 2020, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Hyper Royal reps have recently surfaced in official images ahead of a rumored April 17 release.
As previously mentioned, the upcoming pair features a “white” base of smooth leather covered in suede overlays. While nothing new to the popular silhouette, the velvety panels feature a new, faded “Hyper Royal” shade, while the accompanying stitching fully embraces the titular hue. Tongue labels and “NIKE AIR” branding on the sockliner follow suit, but profile Swooshes opt for “Light Smoke Grey” contrast. Elsewhere, panels on the high collar and underfoot profile are muted, allowing the retro model’s blue details to take center stage.
