The Air Jordan 1 gets the cement print treatment with the release of the Jordan 1 Retro High OG White Cement. Jordan draws inspiration from the popular Air Jordan 3 silhouette with its elephant-inspired cement print.
The Jordan 1 Retro High OG White Cement features a premium white leather upper with a contrasting black Nike Swoosh and leather accents. The sneakers are highlighted by a gray cement print, tied with black laces, and sit atop a muslin midsole, giving the sneaker a vintage look.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG White Cement was released on February 25, 2023.
First announced in late September, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “White Cement” has surfaced with detailed hand-drawn images ahead of its rumored March 2023 release.
While countless internet users took to social media to express their disinterest in the retro, the pair has garnered some attention for its traditional, experimental look. White and black take over everything from the toe box to the profile Swooshes, leaving overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue, and across the heel to enjoy the sneaker’s most signature detail: the elephant print.
The cement-colored version first appeared on the Air Jordan 3 in 1988, but has rarely been seen on sneakers outside of Tinker Hatfield’s creation in the last 34 years. The collar, “Wings” logos on the ankle, and laces also feature pitch-black paint finishes, while the oft-imitated sole units underfoot utilize a grayscale arrangement. Together, all of the above components create a modern Air Jordan 1 rooted in the sneaker heritage of #23.
