The Air Jordan 4 Midnight Navy features white, midnight navy, and light smoke gray.
The upper of this Retro Jordan 4 Navy Blue sneaker is made of white leather with black support wings, a matching black heel tab with embossed Jumpman branding, and dark blue molded eyelets. A second Jumpman symbol adorns the woven tongue tag in purple. The shoe rides on a two-tone polyurethane midsole with encapsulated Air technology in the forefoot and a visible unit in the heel.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro White Midnight Navy reps was released on October 29, 2022.
Although currently celebrating its 33rd anniversary, the Air Jordan 4 is having a bit of a moment, continuing to pop up in new authorized colorways and experimental adaptations by artists and sneaker collectors alike.
Official images recently surfaced of Tinker Hatfield’s second design for the Air Jordan line, featuring a “White/Midnight Navy/Light Smoke Grey” colorway. The upcoming pair is an obvious twist on the model’s original “White Cement” look and includes TPU eyelets, Jumpman logos on the heel, and midsole elements in a semi-dark blue shade that feels familiar yet refreshing. “Light Smoke Grey” incorporates the same components from 1989, creating an ode to the past that catapults the Jordan 4 into its next 33 years. Finally, the next offering from Michael Jordan’s eponymous brand features a “Fire Red” Jumpman logo on the outsole, further playing with traditional hues in an updated design.
The Air Jordan 4 is making its rounds this fall, with Jordan Brand bringing surprising color combinations and different textiles to the Tinker Hatfield design. The more lavish proposals are on hold for now, and the silhouette’s latest coordination of “Midnight Navy” and “Light Smoke Grey” is slated for release this weekend, October 29th.
Representing an autumnal update of the iconic “White Cement” Air Jordan 4 Navy Blue, the model remains nearly identical to its 2016 re-release, featuring crisp white tumbled leather, while the formerly jet-black accents are replaced by a dominant “Midnight Navy” pattern. With eye-stays and speckled accents appearing throughout the collar cage, heel counter, and midsole, further dark blue shades complement the Jumpman insignia along the heel and canvas tongue tab, while the anchor tint finishes underfoot along the opposite liner and sole unit.
