The Air Jordan 4 Retro Cavs is one of the Air Jordan 4 Retro sneaker brands, available in the Black, Safety Orange, and Game Royal color schemes.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Cavs sneaker features a predominantly Game Royal upper constructed of suede and mesh for breathability and lightweight comfort. The Game Royal-inspired mesh upper contrasts with black overlays that extend to the toe box and Safety Orange eyelets. Its black tongue contrasts with the Safety Orange Jumpman logo, which continues on the Game Royal heel. Completing the upper design is the black laces over the tongue for a secure fit. The lower design features black mudguards for support, a Game Royal midsole with Air unit for cushioning and support, and the split-pattern Safety Orange outsole for traction.
This Air Jordan 4 is inspired by Mike’s rivalry with the Cleveland Cavaliers and features a black nubuck upper with plenty of orange accents. The story doesn’t end there, though, as Old Royal retains much of the upper, including the midsole and liner.
One of the two most memorable moments is the classic Game 5, when Michael Jordan beat Craig Ehlo for the free throw in 1989, followed by the fading of his signatures in 1993.

While we knew Jordan Brand would be strong with the OG colorways of the Air Jordan IV, many were eagerly awaiting the first new Retro+ edition, which soon turned out to be the black/safety orange/game royal colorway. Nicknamed the “Cavs” in homage to Michael’s sheer dominance on the Cleveland team in the late ’80s and early ’90s, this new Air Jordan IV was initially nicknamed the “Knicks” (for obvious reasons), and despite its connection to the Ohio City, this will be a hot topic in New York City—even Knickerbocker Jared Jeffries wore them for Game 1 of the Heat/Knicks playoff series.
