Air Jordan 4 Retro Oreo (2015)

The Air Jordan 4 Retro Oreo Tech Grey 2015 was released in a Tech Grey and White colorway.

The sneaker design features perforated side panels instead of the usual plastic lining and a tumbled black leather upper with perforations instead of mesh, Tech Grey accents, speckles on the midsole and wingtips, and subtle oval laces. The polyurethane midsole, molded eyelets, and visible Nike Air cushioning under the heel all feature speckled Tech Grey detailing. The Jumpman logo is embossed in the same light grey color on the heel and tongue.

As promised by Jordan Brand, more reworked editions of classic silhouettes will be released in 2015, and we now get the official reveal of the Air Jordan 4 “Oreo.” First released in 1999, the silhouette remains true to its original design but is enhanced through the label’s remastering initiative, a new manufacturing process designed to create retro sneakers that are closer in quality, look, and feel to their original counterparts. Featuring an overall classic two-tone color palette, black, comprised of tumbled leather, dominates, while Tech Grey accents are scattered throughout for complementary contrast. A speckled Tech Grey midsole clearly elevates the overall composition, while it’s bonded to a black outsole to complete the reworked makeup. The shoe is rounded out by the signature Air cushion unit in the heel, as well as the Jumpman logo on the tongue, insoles, and back.

The Air Jordan 4 “Oreo” launches tomorrow in a full family size. Today we take a look at the elementary school version of the model, which retains the premium, buttery leather construction for the youths, while cement flecking takes over the midsole functions for the famous lifestyle version of Mike’s fourth silhouette. Perforated leather replaces the regular, ventilated mesh side panels, and while the adult sizes feature plastic “wings,” the kids’ versions continue the leather tradition.
