Los Angeles-based sneaker/streetwear boutique Union has teamed up with Jordan Brand for the second time to release the Air Jordan 4 Union Guava Ice. Much like the unique construction of 2018, the product of this second partnership is not immune to creative design.
The Air Jordan 4 Union Guava Ice features many new elements never before seen on the silhouette. The most notable addition is a foldable nylon tongue that displays the “Air Jordan” logo, traditionally stitched on the back of the tongue. From there, hits of Guava, Fusion Red, and Brigade Blue make this Air Jordan 4 one of the model’s more colorful releases.
Last Saturday, UNION Los Angeles unveiled its highly anticipated second chapter of footwear and apparel collaborations with Jordan Brand. Some prevailed and chose the “W,” while others were baffled by the question, “What color is orange?” They didn’t ask a question and/or waited in line for more than 30 minutes, only to be greeted with the ever-disappointing “cart sold out” notification. The capsule’s headliners were certainly the duo of Air Jordan 4 colorways released in the “Off Noir” and “Guava Ice” schemes. And while the latter didn’t see a second release, as it was actually exclusive to UNION, it has now been uploaded to Nike’s official image library.
Interestingly, prices for this pair on the secondary market are currently lower than its aforementioned “Off Noir” sibling, but if you plan on buying it, you’ll most likely have to drop it over a shelf. Scrolling further down, you’ll find an in-depth look at all the packaging details, including the box with the shooting hands, the Jordan-printed gift wrap, UNION-branded inserts/hangtags, and the extra set of white and yellow shoe laces. Official images for the rest of the collection are likely to surface soon, so stay tuned as they’ll be available on Nike.com and at select stores toward the end of September.
