The Air Jordan 4 “Tech White” was first rumored in September 2020. And while countless sneaker collectors were disappointed to learn that the pair wasn’t a “White Cement” retro, many of those same disgruntled enthusiasts have come around regarding the style. After delays, the shoes finally release in full family sizes tomorrow, July 3.
As the pair’s official moniker suggests, the upcoming Jordans are dressed in “Tech Grey” and “White.” The latter hue gives the offering a near-tonal look, while the former provides accent details throughout the upper and sole unit. Instead of a solid application, however, the contrasting color appears as speckles on the TPU eyestays and midsole trim, leading many avid fans to dub the colorway “White Oreo.” The Jumpman logo on the tongue and outsole, as well as the inverted “AIR JORDAN” lettering behind the tongue, deviate from their understated surroundings in favor of a vibrant shade of red that ties the arrangement together nicely.

This weekend’s colorway initially garnered interest due to its similarity to a previous release. While the exterior features clean white leather, the support wings and midsole feature gray and black speckles reminiscent of the “Oreo” from previous years. But elsewhere—right down to the red logo hits—the pair stands out, bringing a “new vibe” to the OG packaging.
